Cosy places to Read | Blogtober
Hello lovelies, how’s October treating you? Today’s Blogtober post is on cosy places to read! I’ll be honest, this post was an easier idea than it was in execution! Finding images to match was… fun? Also I tend to read just wherever I am. THAT BEING said, these will be places that I think are particularly cosy to read.
Now, I think this is subjective and I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on where you like to read to get cosy!
Reading in Bed
Really, nothing else is as cosy as reading in bed, right? Lights dim, candles burning, nice duvet… time to relax ad unwind with an awesome book.
Library
Not just a place to find good books to read, but to read them too! My favourite library is Gladstone’s, it has an old look and feel and I LOVE the aesthetic. The picture above is one I took when I was there, I love it so much!
Couch with blankets and candles
What’s better than curling up on the couch with your favourite blankets, cup of tea, good book and scented candles burning? Oh and the lights dimmed. Bliss.
Your own fort
We’ve all made them, right? When I was a kid, my niece and I would build forts using blankets and towels and things, using clothes horses to hold up the entrance. Fairy lights inside to give it a cosy factor, duvets… with a book in there it’s perfect! Best place to hide and escape from the world in a good book.
Reading in the Bath
This is a dangerous one. Whether you read on a kindle or a physical book, you don’t want to be dropping them in the bath! That being said, if you can handle the danger level it’s a must. Nothing better than being submerged in a lovely warm bath, candles, bubbles and a good book. Relax your body whilst escaping to magical worlds!
In front of a fire
The sound of burning is just so relaxing, don’t you think? A nice couch in front of a fireplace is a great place to get cosy and read!
Window seat when it’s raining
I LOVE the sound of the rain! It’s so soothing and makes me feel all cosy, which I know is a bit counter intuitive as the rain makes you cold and wet… but if you’re inside reading whilst it’s storming outside? Amazing.

I used to love going to the library to read because my family won’t ever leave me alone at home and now I work in a library!
These are amazing places to read! Though the bath is definitely too dangerous for me! I always cuddle up in my bed to read because it’s just so comfortable.
