Autumnal Reads | Blogtober

Hi lovelies! Today is the latest instalment in my blogtober posts, I’m going off blogtober ideas post from last year! 

The post today is Autumnal Reads, which I thought would be easy but in reality, is much harder to write than I thought! What constitutes as an Autumnal read? Books set in Autumn? Books that are warm? I have no idea. SO. These are some books that I think would be great to read in Autumn when you’re hiding from the cold and rain, swaddled in a nice blanket with nice smelling candles. I think I’m leaning more towards fantasy and magical books, I hope you enjoy!

Robin Hobb is one of my all time favourite authors. The Farseer Trilogy (and the next trilogy) are just SO FREAKING GOOD Y’ALL. I love them so much, and I think they’d be perfect for reading when cuddled up in the Autumn. If you haven’t read this amazing series yet, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

I’ve not been quiet of my love for these books! Three Dark Crowns is awesome and you really need to check it out if you haven’t yet.

AHH Master of Sorrows is one of my favourite reads of this year. Action packed fantasy with magic, what more could you want as the nights get longer? Also Justin is one of the nicest authors I’ve had the pleasure to get to know, so you really should check out his debut!

I really really loved The Hazel Wood, and have be waiting for the next one for what feels like forever, but it comes out next year which I’m SO EXCITED ABOUT. So now’s the perfect time to read it if you haven’t!

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

I’ve never read any of Naomi Novik’s books before, but I fell in love with Spinning Silver! It’s a rumpelstiltskin retelling and is honestly amazing. The writing is amazing and I think would be perfect to read in this season!

The Name of the Wind has been one of my favourite books since forever. My dog is also named after one of the characters from the book, Auri! It’s so wonderfully addictive and amazing, you really need to check this out if you haven’t yet!

I really enjoyed Everless, and really recommend it! It’s quite wintery but I think it would be great to read this time of year too!
