Video Games, Music and Sweets | Newbie Blogger Spotlight
Newbie Blogger Spotlight No.3
Hello friends! Today I bring you the next instalment of the Newbie Blogger Spotlight. A while ago I announced that I was doing this Newbie Blogger Spotlight. This is going to be a feature I will have on my blog weekly (as much as possible) where I will share a guest post from a lovely newbie blogger. They will be talking about why they got into blogging, what they enjoy about it and whatever else they’d like to share. I hope you’re all lovely to these bloggers and go and check them out, let’s spread the blogging love! Remember how you felt when you were first starting out.
This week is a post by @apageoutofchloe, from A Page Out of Chloe’s Book, I hope you enjoy!

Video Games, Music and Sweets; Introducing A Page Out of Chloe’s Book
Hey everybody! I’m Chloe, an optimistic writer, film and series enthusiast, and budding gamer. A Hufflepuff often found looking at cute stationary and food videos on YouTube. I’m often found eating desserts and sweets. I’ve been running a blog called A Page Out of Chloe’s Book for two months now and it’s been awesome!
I’ve been a writer and music journalist for a long time, but after finishing my Creative Writing degree I needed a break. After being marked on anything creative and critical for three years, I took a year off writing. I focused on work, settling into post-university life and honestly just surviving. However, soon enough that itch came crawling back. You know the one; the kind that gets into your fingers, burying itself in the back of your mind whispering, ‘write me’. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to write, but I had the need.
Where to direct this energy?
I am an opinionated person; being a music journalist and going to university almost depended on that. It wasn’t until I began watching youtubers such as The Anime Man and The Game Theorists that I realised how interesting I found the topics they covered, and the way they discussed issues. How could I translate that for a writing medium? After talking about my curiosity with others, I decided to follow their suggestions, and start a blog.
Blogging wasn’t something I had considered before; I wrote for other people’s blogs, sure, but never my own. I just didn’t think I had anything interesting to say. But after some thought and encouragement I figured ‘why not?’ So, I took the leap and I’m so glad I did.
Starting a Blog
It’s tough trying to post twice a week, especially whilst working, beta reading, and maintaining a social life but I love it. I enjoy putting my thoughts out there and watching my stats go up. I’m amazed that people in far away countries like Canada, Iceland and India check out my work. It’s exhilarating to engage with my followers and hear that they liked what I wrote. I want to keep growing. I want to keep getting better. I want to keep meeting lovely people. I’ll keep doing my best to achieve these things.
Thank you so much to Jenn for having me today! She is a wonderful blogger and interesting person, so please keep supporting her. If you want to check out my blog, you can find it here at A Page Out of Chloe’s Book and hit me up on Twitter if you ever want to chat. Have a lovely day and keep spreading positive vibes everyone! – Chloe,
