August Book Box Club Unboxing

Hello friends! Last month I got sent my first ever Book Box Club box! Book Box Club is ‘A Secret Society & Subscription Box for Book Geeks’. You heard me right, a secret society! I didn’t know this before I got the book, but basically every month you get this book, you receive an invite to an exclusive online book club with the author of that month’s book, how exciting! Here’s exactly what you get in this box:
‘Each month, Book Box Club members will receive a gift-wrapped, newly released YA book chosen for its sheer brilliance, hand-picked goodies created by crafty types and small businesses and an invitation to our top-secret online book club, where you can meet the authors of our featured reads and ask them your questions.’

Beware, spoilers ahead! Straight off the bat I was impressed with the presentation of this box. I loved the colours and it immediately got me excited. Even the items in the box matched the overall colour scheme of the box? I’m not sure if this is intentional or if it was a one off, but I really loved it!

Look at these goodies! Pictured above are
- Invent the Future Mug with Artwork by Alicia Jo
- Lunar Chronicles Coaster by Book Box Club
- Robot Socks by Joe Cool
- Ada Lovelace Sticker by Victorian Store
- BB8 Magnetic Bookmark by Rachel Norline Art
I LOVED these items, the mug is so beautiful and the socks seem super cosy! The only criticism I have is the use of unnecessary plastic wrapping the socks and mug etc. I haven’t yet received a book box that has no plastic but fingers crossed suppliers start reducing their plastic wastage in the future.

The book was Jinxed by Amy McCulloch! I was so excited to get this, I’ve already read Jinxed and was part of the blog tour, and I really really loved it! I don’t own a finished copy so I was so glad to get this. It also included an adorable Jinx necklace which I LOVED! Look at it, it’s so so cute.
There were also some goodies such as bookmarks and samplers supplied by Hachette Childrens, Usborne and Simon and Schuster. The picture I took didn’t look great so no picture but they were lovely!

All in all, I was really happy with this box! You should definitely give it a go! September’s theme is Into the Wild, and promises to be an awesome box. Go and check it out!
