My Five Favourite Wintery Reads
Hi guys, I’m Rosie from rosiefrecklereads and it’s so nice to be here on Jenn’s blog! I am such a seasonal reader so I always love to pick up wintery books around the festive season! I like to read all kids of books from romance, to fantasy, to YA contemporary. I hope you find something you like the sound of from my list!
Christmas At The Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan – I love anything Jenny Colgan likes so when she came out with something festive, I knew I had to get my hands on it. It’s a cute and cuddily and follows Polly, who is a wonderful strong, independent character. Perfect with a Baileys Hot Chocolate and a warm mince pie, snuggled up on the sofa.
Christmas At Lilac Cottage by Holly Martin – This is a lovey-dovey-curl up in your pjs kind of read. Itt has a swoony romance, a cute and cosy setting and puts you right into the Christmas Spirit! Perfect Christmassy pamper night bathtime read.
Stealing Snow by Danielle Page – A twisted look at everyone’s new favourite winter story, the Snow Queen. It’s dark, powerful and intense. I love a good retelling and this ticks the seasonal reads box. Perfect in a coffee shop with your favourite winter drink (mine is a gingerbread latte).
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S Lewis – You can’t have Christmas without a classic and this is one of my faves. Fantastical, fun, festive and fierce. Let your imagination run wild with this one. Perfect curled up with your little loved ones by the fire.
My True Love Gave To Me Edited by Stephanie Perkins – I love this short story collection because it introduced me to so many new authors. It’s full of diversity and left me feeling all warm and fuzzy! Perfect on the go Christmas shopping.
So there are my fav wintery reads! I hope you found a book you like the sound of and I’ll see you over on my blog soon!
I hope you enjoyed! Make sure you go and check out her blog.
