NaNoWriMo 2017 Getting Social – Word of the Day Challenge Day 4
We’re four days into NaNoWriMo now – how are we all feeling? I’ve hit a stumbling block in terms of real life getting in the way. I read someone say on Twitter before Nano started, that they prayed the real life responsibility gods left us alone during November, I guess they didn’t leave me alone hah.
It’s not all bad, I’m away for a day and a night seeing a friend I haven’t seen since we went to Thailand together in April so I am looking forward to that. She also is attempting Nano so I’m hoping we can chat a bit about it, ready for me to get down and write ALL THE WORDS on Sunday!
Get Social with NaNoWriMo
A few people have said this year, and I’ve noticed it too, that there seems to be a lot more people doing NaNoWriMo in 2017. It makes me so happy that the community has grown so much! I’ve been on a forum for years where the same guys get together and write every year which is amazing, and a few other groups of people dotted around here or there.
If you’re feeling like it’s getting hard or you’re lone wolfing it a bit, join in the discussion! I’m always talking about NaNoWriMo on Twitter so go ahead and find me on there if you want to chat! Also there is always people on the #NaNoWriMo and #amwriting hashtags (there’s a whole bunch of others but they’re a good place to start).
Oh and of course you have to follow the official NaNoWriMo Twitter account @NaNoWriMo.
The website itself is also pretty amazing, but I’ll talk about that separately tomorrow, so stay tuned 🙂

I really wanted to do Nano this year but so much happened last month that I just couldn’t commit to it now. I’m going to do some bits and pieces here and there though! Good luck!
