July Bullet Journal Setup / Galaxy Style
I’ve been meaning to make a post about my Bullet Journal for a looooong time. I love Bullet Journaling, and have done for a few years now since my bestie got me into it. Since then I’ve amassed so much stationary it’s a little but extra… but I’m okay with that.
I haven’t shared pictures of it before because
a. I’m not that precious about my bujo (Bullet Journal) so there are often mistakes
b. I’m impatient, once I’ve drawn a spread I use it and I get daunted by the effort of taking pictures.
So this time I made sure I set the majority of it up then took some quick snaps so I could share with you all! This is by no means my best spread or tidiest but it’s here for you to see!

My July Bullet Journal Set Up
Behold! My July bujo set up!
July Title Page

I always start with a title page for the month. I often find my inspiration from Pinterest by searching Bullet Journal, and honestly I just straight up copy most of the time, but since I was going to be uploading pictures this time I did something a bit more original.
Materials used for Bullet Journal:
- I used metallic water colours that I got from cult pens and a sponge to get the shiny water colour background, and I love it! It was the first time I’ve ever attempted to do it so I’m pleased with how it turned out.
- I used a Moz Art brush pen for the title. They’re my favourite and great for beginners as they’re super pliable!
July Galaxy Monthly Spread

Next up is my monthly spread! Okay so this is one of the WORST I’ve ever done and I made so many mistakes but I have to just move on from that… *dies forever*. I totally just did this page on a whim which is why it didn’t end very well. I meant to leave the space where the empty August boxes are blank but I got carried away drawing my boxes.
For my monthly spread I use Miss Grossman’s stickers (which are archival) to denote where I’ve got posted what kind of blog post. I’ll then fill out each box with what events I’ve got going on that day.
Materials used for Bullet Journal
- Washi tape! If you haven’t used washi tape before then you haven’t lived… or maybe it’s a waste of money and I’m in denial… hah.
- Tombow brush pens. Now I LOVE these pens, they come in so many colours and are wonderful, but I don’t think they’re the best on the market and are slightly harder to master than the moz art brush pens.
Monthly Galaxy To Do/Goal Tracker

This bullet journal spread is mostly a to do list. I used to just have one massive list but it got too confusing. Now I split it out. This is tasks I need to do in the month sorted by personal/blog related and shop related. When I do my weekly spreads I will pull tasks from this master list and add them to my weekly to do, and subsequently my day to day.
At the end of the month I’ll use the bullet journal system to mark something as done [x] or migrated to next month [>] or just cross it out if it’s not needed anymore.
Monthly Gratitude Log
This is the first time I’ve tried a gratitude log in my bullet journal since I first started bullet journalling. If you follow me on social you may have seen that I’ve been struggling a bit in recent months and this is my way to get some positivity back. Instead of thinking about the negative things I’m going to put all the things I’m grateful for.
The Half Year Pride page is something I made up and is basically some key achievements I’ve managed so far this year. It’s so easy to forget all the things we’ve achieved and feel discouraged, especially with social media showing us how amazing everyone else is doing. I’ll let you know how I get on at the end of the month!
Books to be Read and Reviewed

I’ve tried something similar in the past but I’m trying again because my TBR has gotten completely out of hand! I’m going to write all the ARCs I receive and the month/date they come out so I can keep up to date.
Blog Post Tracker

This is pretty obvious and self explanatory. I did a call out recently on Twitter asking people if they’d like to do guest posts for my blog. I got an amazing response so I’m going to write them all in here so I can track who is writing what and when. I’m also going to write my planned post ideas here too (I’ve tried to do this so many times in the past and it doesn’t work but I keep trying).
July Galaxy Weekly Spread

Finally here is my weekly spread! On the right I have a to do list where I put the tasks for that week as I mentioned before. Then each day I’ll put my tasks for the day. I use a pretty basic system of bullets for to do, [X] for done and [>] for migrated to another day.

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have anything bujo related you’d like to see from me in the future then please let me know. Do you bujo?

Looks lovely! I’ve always wanted to start a bullet journal but creativity isn’t in my bones, unfortunately 😂
Thank you! 💕
I currently have 5 ongoing journals right now and it’s working for me but I’m planning to slowly condense them into one bullet journal in the future. I was impatient to see the system do its work and evolve before but now I’m not so I’m excited to see how it’ll go!
P.S. Art is a skill and I’m sure the more you do it, the better it’ll get <3 best wishes!
5?! What do you use them all for?
Thank you 🙂 yeah when I first started I was awful and now I’m better but I also am not too fussed about how it looks hah!
Well.. I was very sporadic with info dumping before so I kept on starting new ones to keep it from being too hectic. Now I have one for book journaling, regular journaling, a budget journal, a gratitude journal and a bullet journal for regular planning haha. I’m slowly condensing them into one though, just trying to find the perfect layout and plan 😁
That’s so many!!
I’ll condense it some day, I promise! haha
